The Lethbridge & District Humane Society:
- Spays or neuters all cats and dogs adopted from the society
- Answers thousands of questions about animal care
- Provides isolation space for cats and dogs entering our facility who may be harboring or exhibiting disease
- Provides foster care for any cat or dog requiring special treatment
- Carefully screens potential adopters. Because many of our cats or dogs often come to us in a highly stressed state, we must ensure that the cat or dog goes to the best possible home for the remainder of its life
- Coordinates over 100 active volunteers who are dedicated to caring for those who have no voice and no choice
